Rain or Shine – FREE Food Growing Drop-in Sessions
We offer free, drop-in sessions twice a week at the Carshalton Community Allotment. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Enjoy the outdoors, meet other people, learn new skills, get a bit of exercise and take free fresh veg home. We are also creating wildlife friendly features on the allotment this spring.

We are open:
Mondays 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Fridays 10.30am – 12.30pm
Just bring wellies or other shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and warm clothes if it’s cold! We also have a hut, toilet, benches and tea making facilities.

6 Week Food Growing Courses – now booking to start Saturday April 27th and Saturday September 28th 2019


If you are just starting out, or would like to get some more detailed knowledge of food growing, then this course is for you. Over 6 weeks you will learn everything you need to know to confidently grow your own fruit and veg. Click on the picture for more information …

Bug Hunting in May Half Term

Bug Hunting

Do you know which insects are good for your garden and which ones don’t you want? Join us on Carshalton Community Allotment for our annual bug hunt and see how many friends and foes you can find. Help us plant out seedlings and make slug traps to protect them – and find out how to defend your plants from Garden Invaders!

10.30am – 12 noon

at Carshalton Community Allotment

Advanced booking is essential

This session is £4 per child and suitable for children of primary school age.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the session.

Please note that places are limited so we can only accept people who have booked in advance.

If you have booked, and then can’t come, please let us know so we can offer your place to somebody else.
