EcoLocal has worked with communities throughout London, starting growing food in neglected or underused spaces.
We can help communities establish a community food growing garden and give them the skills and experience to run the garden for themselves.
All that’s needed is some space and some local people with enthusiasm! We provide gardening support and expertise to get you started.
Each group will receive:
- On-site support and a series of 10 action learning workshops to establish, plan, create and maintain a food growing garden across a growing season.
- Training to help volunteers/communities build confidence in their own skills, to enable them to engage and work with others in their community and to plan and promote their food growing project.
- AQA accredition(for an extra cost) to train key volunteers to give them the confidence and skills to lead the food growing in the future.
